Anika Noi Rose, an American singer-actress is best known for her performance in the film The Princess and the Frog. Her most well-known role is Tiana as the Princess, and the African-American Princess of the Frog. Disney Legends listed her as one in 2011. Rose appeared as Lorrell Robertson on Dreamgirls and was awarded the Academy Award. Anika Noni Rose (born on the 6th September 1973) is an American actress and performer. The most famous role she has played is in the role of Tiana the Disney's first African American princess, in The Princess and the Frog (2009). The film was named an official Disney Legend in 2011. She also has a starring part, playing Lorrell Robinson, on the show Dreamgirls (2006) which has been nominated to win an Academy Award. And she performs the role of LaVerne Jukebox Ganner on the show Starz's Power. The stage performances she has performed are not unnoticed, including her role in the role of Emmie Thbodeaux in The Broadway production of the musical Caroline or Change (2004) which won her an award for the Tony Award Best Featured actress in the musical. The show also received her nomination in her nomination for Tony Award Best Featured actor for her performance in the Broadway revival of A Raisin in the Sun.

She became known for her role in the winning cast of reality M.T.V. Jersey Shore during season one and two in the year 2010. In the years following Jersey Shore, she appeared in several reality shows including Couples Therapy as well as Jersey Shore Family Vacation.
